Back when our daughter was about to be born we use to talk to her and started by giving her the nickname of goomz. Don't know why we did, but it just seemed to fit.
As time went on we somehow changed it to gooch.. and that stuck. When we opened our studio, we strongly thought that naming it after me (Phil) sounded like yuck!
We also considered our sons nickname which was pork but that was worse. Then the old light bulb lit up and Gooch had a nice ring to it. Ever since Gooch's has turned out to be one of our best decisions and has become a respected and reputable name in the community. Although the studio was named after her, she now does prefer Michelle (she says)
